Quiet Sun 22nd August

The sun has plenty of activity but is fairly quiet in terms of flare activity and the like. Taken with a pair of Lunt50 etalons on the 60mm f6 scope, a 2x cemax running on a short nosepiece and the zwo183mm camera. The etalons were not playing today getting on band without tilt, I need to look at a way of permanently screwing the etalons onto the scope rather than them being attached to the OTA by means of a cell.

17th August - Sun from the Canal Side

Nice to stop in my favourite spot just outside of Brewood and get a bit of solar observing in!
