A large fiery prominence graced the sun on the 9th July. Despite the poor seeing the 70mm PST made a decent job of getting a good capture of this...

Scenic Quadrant - 9th July

With the large prom and large active regions, this quadrant of the sun was looking very photogenic!

Something New Coming over The Limb??? 9th July

Certainly some rapid prom activity here, maybe we have something new on the way over?

Is something about to appear on this part of the sun???

Despite NASA predictions of M-class flares, these active regions have remained very quiet, and now are slowly but surely decreasing in activity, never the less are still photogenic!

Our star really is looking nice at the moment, monster active regions, spots, filaments and prominences. Lots to see!!! Taken with the 70mm PST mod and DMK31 camera.
