AR12759 in CaK - 2nd April

Despite cloud being forecast all day, first thing this morning the skies miraculously cleared, and my gut feeling was the seeing was going to be half decent.  My hunch was right and I started off the imaging session in CaK wavelengths using the 100mm Tal refractor with the 3x barlow to take me to f30, the home brew CaK filter and the PGR GH3 IMX174 camera.  I was pleasantly surprised how much detail I actually got.  Just for fun I decided to colour my usual purple CaK colour with a Ha orange gor that fiery look.  This active region has surprised me as it hasn't decayed as quickly as I thought it might do.  It is a cycle 25 active region and hopefully a taste of things to come in the weeks and months ahead.
