CaK Full Disk 4th August

A significant proportion of the suns Earthward surface is covered in plage, the bright white magnetic froth associated with strong magnetic fields around the active regions that form part of the bright emissions that characterize the chromosphere.  The prominences are also easily visible at various places around the solar limb.  The image was taken with the trusty full disk work horse scope - the 40mm refractor at 700mm focal length with the DMK31 camera.
