Late Monday Sunshine - 7th April

After over a week of no sunshine and sitting around feeling laid up with man flu, I was pleasantly surprised to see right at the end of the day the weather front that has been with us since dawn passed over with a perfectly clear back edge.  I had minutes to spare before the sun started to set in the trees on the horizon but never the less managed to get this image of our star in CaK wavelengths.  The 2 flame proms on the south eastern limb weren't as defined as they might be no doubt to the low sun and poor seeing in the unstable air mass, but this image still came out!  Hopefully the 2 weeks Easter holiday will give me plenty of clear sky opportunities and the chance to give the CaK filter a good run.
