A Slice Down the Limb of our Star - 17th May

There was plenty of activity down the western limb of the sun on saturday afternoon, with great prominences, filaments and active regions crackling away.  The image above is a mosaic taken with the 100mm PST mod at f20 and DMK31 camera.
