Promtastic Sunday - 4th May
Some of the best proms i've seen for while were visible today, all displaying many forms - huge arches, detached proms hovering above the surface and small jet and flame proms. A good job really as activity seems to be quietening off a bit on the disk itself. The sky was predominantly cloudy today, but later in the afternoon thinned to just haze, allowing me to wind the exposure up a bit and take a picture of our star in Ha wavelengths. This image was taken with the DS40 at f20 with the DMK31 camera.
