Ha Full Disk 3rd May

The sun looked lovely in Ha wavelengths this afternoon with a great arching prominence on the western limb.  Unfortunately the wall to wall sunshine that the weatherman forecast was somewhat of an exaggeration and the skies were very milky and hazy with thick contrails visible.  This is easily seen with the bright background visible around our star in the image above.  The image was taken with the 40mm double stack at f10 to form a 2 pane mosaic using the DMK31 camera.
